What's New

This section describes recent changes in Multi-Axis Machining.

R2022x GA

Part Operation
The new Air Cut Detection option enables you to optimize the Air Cuts in the resulting tool path. It is available only for Multi-Axis Curve operations.
Multi-Axis Swarf Milling
Multi-Axis Swarf Milling activity is now availble. It offers a simplified version of the Mult-Axis Flank Contouring activity, with upgraded parameters. Thus, you can now:
  • Change the direction of the vector when defining the direction of the tool axis vector.
  • Select either Constant or Interpolate parameter to specify the axial distance mode between paths.
  • Activate the parameter Fixed Axis for Semi-Finishing Paths.
See Multi-Axis Swarf Milling
Barrel Tools Enhacement
Barrel cutters and lens shape cutters are now supported in multi-axis tube machining, multi-axis helix machining and isoparametric. Lens shape cutter are also supported in multi-axis curve machining and impellers operations.
New parameters to avoid collisions between the cutting part of the tool and the part to machine are now available.
Helix Approach Option
Helix Approach option is now availabe. It enables you to avoid collision during multi-axis spiral milling operations.
See Macros Parameters
New User Interface for Programming Operations Panels
The programming operations panels interface has been improved to more easily filter, modify and change information contained within it.
