Customizing the Spreadsheet View

You can specify which attributes and which groups of objects to display in the spreadsheet. You can also save the current configuration and reuse it to customize another spreadsheet view.

Group PPR Objects

You can create grouping nodes to group PPR objects in the tree based on their attribute values. This enables you to select, display, and edit only the objects of a group.

  1. In the spreadsheet, click Groups Manager .
  2. From the list, select an attribute such as Type.
    Available values for the selected attribute appear.
  3. Select one or more values of the attribute.
  4. Click Validate to confirm.
    For each selected value, a grouping node appears in the tree.

    Note: Grouping nodes appear under parents in the tree. If objects selected for grouping have different parents, one grouping node appears under each parent.
    Tip: You can perform actions on all objects in a group without expanding the group node. From the Spreadsheet view, select one or more group nodes, then right-click and select one of the available actions.

Manage Attributes

You can hide/show and reorder attribute columns.

  1. In the spreadsheet view, click Attributes Manager .
  2. To manage attribute columns, use the following commands:
    CommandDescription

    Identifies an attribute column as currently shown. Click to hide it.

    Identifies an attribute column as currently hidden. Click to show it.

    Hides/shows all attribute columns.

    Reorder attribute columns.

    Tip: You can select several attributes at the same time using Ctrl + select attributes.

Manage Presets

You can save the current configuration of the spreadsheet or apply an existing one.

Note: This action does not save the content of the spreadsheet, such as modifications to the PPR structure. To do so, see Capturing a Manufacturing Context in a Favorite.

  1. In the spreadsheet view, click Presets Manager .
  2. To save the current configuration of the spreadsheet, enter a name for the preset then click Create Preset .
    A preset containing the current attribute columns, filters, and groups of the spreadsheet is created.
    Tips: You can share the preset using the file automatically downloaded in the CAT settings.
  3. To apply a preset to the spreadsheet, click Load Preset .

    You can revert to the default configuration by clicking .

  4. To update a preset with the current configuration of the spreadsheet, click Save Preset .
