Editing a Manufacturing Pattern

You can use the Manufacturing Pattern dialog box to edit a manufacturing pattern. Other options are available in the Manufacturing Pattern dialog box.

Editing a Manufacturing Pattern

You can edit a manufacturing pattern by adding manufacturing fasteners or reordering them.

  1. In the Manufacturing View, double-click the manufacturing pattern.
  2. In the Manufacturing Pattern dialog box, click Add manufacturing fastener to the pattern and from the Manufacturing View, select a manufacturing fastener.
    The manufacturing fastener is added to the manufacturing pattern and is highlighted in the work area.
  3. Reorder the manufacturing fasteners using the Up and Down arrows. Use Ctrl to select multiple manufacturing fasteners at once:
    • To move a manufacturing fastener up in the list, select the manufacturing fastener to move and click Move up the selected manufacturing fasteners .
    • To move a manufacturing fastener down in the list, select the manufacturing fastener to move and click Move down the selected manufacturing fasteners .

The manufacturing fastener is added to the manufacturing pattern and is highlighted in the work area.

Interpolating Tangent Angle Between Fasteners

You can compute tangent interpolation of manufacturing fasteners that lie in between selected fasteners.

  1. In the Manufacturing View, double-click the manufacturing pattern.
  2. In the Manufacturing Pattern dialog box, select two or more manufacturing fasteners from the list and click Interpolate Tangent Angle Between Manufacturing Fasteners .
  3. Optional: Double-click anywhere in the work area to update the computed interpolation angle.

    Note: Use Esc to exit computation update.

The tangent interpolation is computed and the tangents that lie between in between the selected manufacturing fasteners are updated.
