Managing Positioning Sensors

There is need to analyze if a sensor can detect the panel surface at each fastening point (henceforth to represent drill or rivet). Based on this, switch on or off the sensor at that point. This is done through a batch analysis.


Before you begin: Have a scenario with sensors defined.

Analyzing Positioning Sensors
  1. Click Manage Positioning Sensors .
    Position sensors are defined on the NC Machine, and the Manage Positioning Sensors dialog box appears where you can:
    • Create a New Position Sensor .
    • ClickModify to modify a existing sensor or double-click a sensor.
      Note: The unit for the beam length is shown as per the settings from Me > Preferences that you have set.
    • Delete the sensor .
  2. Click Create a New Position.
    The Position Sensor dialog box appears.
  3. Drag the robot to the required location, and edit accordingly in the dialog box.

  4. Click OK.
  5. Click Manage Positioning Sensors again to close the Manage Positioning Sensors dialog box.
