Robot Programming Access Model

Robot Programming does not use the 3DEXPERIENCE platform 3DSpace baseline configuration. You can access Robot Programming from the Compass, but you cannot use it with 3DDashboard.

Robot Programming includes the following app-specific access roles that your business administrator assigns to users. You may have one or more of these roles assigned to you. When you log in, you have the access assigned to that role. You can use the Me > My Credentials dialog box to switch roles without logging out.

Each role is described below.

Access Role Description
Reader Read access to any data.
Contributor Read access to any data.
Author

All commands offered by the Robot Programming application should be accessible and usable by the Author, including:

  • Create Robot Program
  • Import Robot Program
  • NRL Teach
  • Least Squares Calibration
  • Tool Point Calibration
  • 6 Point Calibration
  • Import Tag Group
  • Export Tag Group
  • Positioner Calibration
  • Set Signature Status
  • Joint Offsets
  • Delta Vectors
  • Auto ID

Leader

Data modification not expected by the Leader in the scope of Robotic Arc Welding. Since design data can be loaded by the Leader, the default access specified by baseline behavior is reasonable for this role.
