Customizing the Machine

You can customize the reference parameters of a generic machine.

This task shows you how to:

Importing a DLL File

You can import a DLL file to associate it with the machine and compute the scan path according to the algorithm defined in the DLL file.

Before you begin: Create a reference DLL file implementing the correct API. For more information, see Machine Customization.
  1. In the Resource Configuration View, right-click a machine and select Powder Bed Machine, then Edit NC Resource.
  2. In the Reference Parameters Of Generic Powder Bed Machine dialog box that appears, select the Services tab and do the following:
    • Click Browse next to the upper text box and select the DLL file implementing the API.
Note: If one or more files (DLL or other) are referenced in the previously selected DLL file, click Browse next to the text box below to select them.
    • Click Check Library Load to verify that the selected files are correct.

A check appears in the Services check box when services are available and correctly implemented in the main DLL file. Some of the available services are:

      • Best orientation computation
      • Nesting computation
      • Scan path generator
      • Post processor: Based on the following: scan path, geometry or slices.

The DLL file is imported.

Loading Libraries
