Managing Protective Cases

You can view, create, and edit protective cases.


Before you begin:
  • Assign a machine from the database or create a generic machine.
  • Mount a build tray from the database or create a generic one.
  • Position the part on the build tray. For more information, see Positioning the Parts on the Build Tray.

Creating and Editing Protective Cases
  1. From the Setup section of the action bar, select Manage Protective Cases.
    The Protective Case panel displays the list of protective cases and their status.
    Note: The following icons are used to describe the status.
    Icon Description
    Parameters defined.
    Mandatory parameters not defined.
    Geometry result is not up to date.
  2. To edit an existing protective case, select it, and then click Edit .
  3. To delete an existing protective case, select it, and then click Delete .
  4. To create a new protective case, click Create New Protective Case .
    The Protective Case Definition panel appears.
  5. From the Protective Case Definition panel, click Generate to compute the protective case according to the defined parameters in the definition or click OK to validate the parameters and close the Protective Case Definition panel.
  6. Click OK from the Protective Case panel to validate and close.
