Resource Utilization

The Resource Utilization report shows KPIs associated with resource utilization performance, and a chart of resource utilization over time for a selected resource. The resource utilization performance review aims to maximize resource efficiency while controlling capacity bottlenecks.

The specifications for the Minimum Resource Utilization or Resource Bottleneck threshold can be freely defined on any scope.

  • Minimum Resource Utilization (%): You can view this at a detailed or aggregated level Horizon, past and future periods.
  • Resource Bottleneck threshold(%): You can view this at a detailed or aggregated level Horizon, past and future periods.

The chart is split into two parts in time:

  • The actual resource utilization in the past and in the current period, and
  • The projected resource utilization in current and future periods, per scenario.

Actual resource utilization can be reviewed in past periods:

  • Used capacity: Total used capacity in time for the considered resource over the period.
  • Unused capacity: Total unused capacity in time for the considered resource over the period.
  • Resource utilization %: Actual capacity consumption percentage for the considered resource over the period (used capacity over available capacity).

Projected performances are intended for future periods:

  • Planned Used capacity: Total planned used capacity in time for the considered resource over the period.
  • Planned Unused capacity: Total planned unused capacity in time for the considered resource over the period.
  • Planned Resource utilization %: Planned capacity consumption percentage for the considered resource over the period.

Note: Inventory performance can be reviewed for a given item and location you select navigation.
