Analysis and Ouput Section

The Analysis and output section of the action bar provides commands for simulation, scenarios, monitors, and probes.

This page discusses:

New Manufacturing Simulation
Creates a simulation from product, resource, or PPR context content. With a simulation, you can test different scenarios.
Select Add > Content. In the New Content dialog box, under Types > Simulation, click Manufacturing Simulation.
See Creating a Simulation.
New Manufacturing Scenario
See Flyout for Scenarios.
Batch Simulation Monitor
Displays the FFS Batch Queue dialog box.
See Estimating the Warmup Time.
Export Product Trace History
Exports the product trace history.
Data Readout Probe
See Flyout for Probes.
Setup Plot Parameters
Displays the Setup Plot Parameters panel.
See Estimating the Warmup Time.

Flyout for Scenarios

New Manufacturing Scenario
Creates the combination of states, excitations, probes, and content that you create to test different aspects of a manufacturing plan.
Click New Manufacturing Scenario. In the Scenario dialog box, select the simulation objects you want to use in the scenario. In the Compass, click Play to see the scenario's simulation.
Simulate AGS Scenario
Executes the current AGS scenario and generates new results corresponding to the specification.

Flyout for Probes

Data Readout Probe
Configures the data readout probe
Click Data Readout Probe, then select a resource that you want data about. Configure the data readout panel so you can monitor the resource while it is being simulated.
Measure Probe
Measures the distance between one selected point in the content and another. This measurement can be saved with the scenario.
Click Measure Probe and select the items for measurement. Add the probe to a scenario.
Interference Probe
Determines whether two objects clash or cross too close to a predetermined buffer.
Click Interference Probe, and modify default items in the dialog box. Add the probe to a scenario and run it.
Section Probe
Sections the content at specified points.
Select the content. Click Section Probe and modify the size and orientation of the section plane. You can attach the resulting section to the content.
Camera Viewer Probe
Creates a camera probe that focuses on either one particular part or on what happens from the vantage of a particular camera mounting point.
Motion Trace Probe
In the work area, creates a graphic 3D record of the movements of a robot or other device.
Click Motion Trace Probe and select an object whose motion you want to see. Run a scenario and the motion trace appears.
