This section provides tips for using 3DWorkbook.

This page discusses:

Header Bar

The selected process plan, operation, and suboperation are displayed in the header bar.



To search for another process plan, click the search icon and enter your search criteria in the Search field.

To navigate back to a parent process plan or operation, click its corresponding link in the breadcrumb.

Click 2D or 3D to switch between the views in the work area.

Operations

For the selected process plan, all operations are displayed in the Operations panel.



Operation thumbnails represent the Product Buildup for each operation.

Click an operation to navigate to that operation. If an operation has a navigation arrow , click that arrow to view that operation's suboperations in the panel. Click the back arrow to return to the operation list.

Process Plan Details

For the selected process plan, process plan information and details are displayed in the Process Plan Details panel. This panel can be collapsed or expanded in the work area.

Operation Details

For the selected operation, operation information and details are displayed in the Operation Details panel. This panel can be collapsed or expanded in the work area.



For each item, a paper clip appears when documents are attached to it.

  • Click to display the list of documents.
  • Click a document to load that document in a new window .
Note: Disable the popup-blocker in your browser to open the attached documents.

Graphics Component

3DWorkbook can display 2D and 3D graphics.

The following display modes are available:

  • 2D views without 3D buildup
  • 2D views and 3D buildup
  • 3D views with 3D buildup
  • 2D and 3D Views with 3D buildup

Click 2D or 3D in the header bar to switch between viewers.

The 3D viewer displays product buildup at the process plan and operation levels.

The 2D viewer can display work instruction views after 2D graphics are generated by means of Work Plan Publication. By default, the first operation view is displayed in the viewer and all operation views are displayed as thumbnails. To change magnification level, click Zoom-In, Zoom-Out, or Reset.
