Creating a Wire EDM Tool

You can create a wire EDM tool.

Before you begin: Create a wire EDM Machine
  1. From the Setup section of the action bar, click Wire EDM Tool .
  2. In the NC Resource dialog box that appears, enter a name and a comment for the tool.
  3. Specify the diameter.
  4. Specify the material.
  5. Click OK.

    Note: You do not need to specify the wire tool length as it changes during machining. The wire tool cutting length depends on the Machine Upper Head Height defined in the Part Operation.

The wire tool is created and appears in the Manufacturing View.
