Diagnosing the Structure of the Model

Let’s identify the complex parts of the model.

  1. Navigate the model by turning around the model.
  2. In the Data Preparation action bar, click Information Report .
    The Information Report panel appears.
  3. Check the total number of triangles for the car model.
  4. To explore the structure, switch to Structure View .
    The structure view is activated.
  5. To identify the complex parts, check the number of triangles for each element.
  6. Select the main body platter level. Verify the number of triangles for the selection.
    The selection consists in one sixth of the total number of triangles
