Mesh Generation and Display

Mesh generation is the creation of a finite element model using a set of mesh specifications, which can include the mesh density and element type. Generating the mesh is not required; if you skip this step, the app creates the mesh immediately before it runs the simulation.

Generating a mesh before running a simulation allows you to review the mesh and determine if it requires further refinement. However, mesh generation can be time consuming for large or complex models. Skip this step if you do not need to review the mesh's details before running the simulation.

Toggles display or hide the mesh. Hiding the mesh allows you to view details in the geometry. Hiding the mesh can also improve performance if your mesh is complex and you plan to rotate or translate the view of the model.
