Restraints Section

The Restraints section provides commands for fixing translational and/or rotational degrees of freedom on portions of a model during a simulation.

Clamp
Prevents a surface from moving or deforming.
See Applying Clamps.
Planar Symmetry
Imposes symmetrical displacement restraints about a selected face.
See Applying Planar Symmetry Restraints.
Fixed Displacement
Restricts specific degrees of freedom for regions of the model.
See Applying Fixed Displacement Restraints.
Ball Joint
Defines a fixed center of rotation for a surface.
See Applying Ball Joints.
Slider
Restricts a surface to movement within a particular plane.
See Applying Sliders.
Hinge
Allows a cylindrical surface to rotate about its axis.
See Applying Hinges.
