Creating Splines

You can create a spline with controlled curvature.

Before you begin: Select the Dimensional Constraints and the Geometric constraints from the Sketch section of the action bar.

About Splines
  1. From the Sketch section of the action bar, click Spline .
  2. Indicate the control points through which the spline should pass.
    • Click the point's location in the work area.
    • Use Tools Palette which now displays the following value boxes:
      • H: horizontal
      • V: vertical
  3. In the Tools Palette, specify the first control point coordinates.
    The first point is created.
  4. Repeat the operation to define other control points.
  5. Double-click the last control point you create to finish the spline creation.

    Tips:
    • Clicking Spline or any other command in the action bar again also ends the spline creation.
    • The constraints are assigned to this profile on the condition that:
      • You activated Dimensional Constraints in the Sketch section of the action bar before starting the scenario.
      • You entered coordinate values in the boxes (you did not create the profile by clicking only).
