Managing Maturity

You can modify the maturity of the root logical reference.

This task shows you how to:

Edit Maturity Level from the ID Card

You can edit the details of maturity level of a logical reference from the ID card.

  1. Open the required logical reference. For more information, see Opening Logical Reference.
  2. In the ID card, click the Maturity next to the logical reference title.
  3. In the Maturity dialog box, select the action that you want to perform.

    You can edit a logical reference with no model attached in the following ways depending on the maturity state of the logical reference.

    Maturity State Description
    Private, In Work, and Frozen You can perform the following operations.
    • Edit a logical reference title.
    • Insert an instance to a logical reference.
    • Detach a logical reference's instance.
    Released and Obsolete
    • You cannot edit the title of a logical reference.
    • The contextual menu commands related to authoring operations are disabled for that logical reference and its instances.
    • Architecture Number is displayed in properties but not editable.
      Note: Architecture number can be updated only through Set Architecture. The number can be defined based on the other conditions mentioned in the above sections.
    • Proposed solution is not editable.
    • Attach spaces is not editable.

Edit the Maturity Level from Data Grid

You can edit the details of maturity level of a logical reference from the data grid.

  1. Open the required logical reference. For more information, see Opening Logical Reference.
  2. Click the down arrow next to the logical reference title, and then select Lifecycle/Revision Explorer.
  3. In the Maturity dialog box, select the action that you want to perform.
