You can attach a model to a logical reference. Attaching a model is required for
specifying a configuration on a logical reference.
Before you begin: Open an existing model for which you have access
rights.
Note:
It is recommended that ‘Work Under Evolution Effectivity’ is always enabled
when performing tasks. Disable ‘Work Under Evolution Effectivity’ if you want to make
changes to the Evolution Effectivity.

Open a logical reference.

From ID card menu section, click Edit Configuration Context.
The Edit Configuration Context dialog box opens.

From Edit Configuration Context, search and select the models
to be attached to the logical reference.

Click Close.
Notes:
- All Models is applied and no filter is applied on the
item if the edit configuration context is done for the first time.
- If the model is already attached then the context in which the user is working
is retained on editing configutation context.

Click All
Models
to launch Select Model Version.

From Select Model Version, select model version.
Notes:
The following changes are observed in the ID card.
- In the title section, next to the logical reference the Model Version Name,
Model Version and Product Configuration is shown.
- Click Model Version name to change the model version and
to choose different model version of the same or different model.
- Click Model Version to open Revision
Explorer where you can open a different revision of the same
model.
- Product Configuration allows the user to search the configurations of the model
version selected.
- In all the above scenarios, the content is refreshed based on the
selection.
