Replacing a Revision

You can replace a revision of an object with another revision of the same object.

Before you begin: Ensure that you have Solid Edge® objects in the 3DEXPERIENCE.
  1. Select an assembly or a part in MySession and do one of the following.
    • Right-click and select Replace by Revision.
    • From Lifecycle section of the action bar, select Replace by Revision
    The Replace by Revision dialog box opens. It displays all the existing revisions of the object allowing you to replace the current revision with another revision opened in the session.
  2. From the list, select only one object and click OK.

    Notes:
    • For the data that is not saved in the 3DEXPERIENCE, or in a case of multiselection the error messages are displayed.
    • When the selected object does not have other revisions, only the current revision is displayed.
    • When there is only one revision for the selected data, OK is disabled.

    The new revision replaces the previous revision of the selected object.
    • The children of the selected object also get replaced by the option selected for its parent.
    • The Assembly instance overwrites all other instances as well.
