List of Route Templates

Users with the Leader acces role can view the existing route templates, create new templates, and revise existing templates.

To access the list of route templates, click Templates.

This page discusses:

Grid View

If the tile view displays, click Tile View > Grid View . You can double-click anywhere in a row to open the identity card for that route template.

Name Description
Name A unique name for the route template.
Maturity State The current maturity state of the template:

State Description
Draft The template is in the process of being defined and cannot be used for route creation.
Released The template is available for route creation.

Route Base Purpose The route base purpose that determines the kind of tasks included in the route.

Purpose Description
Standard The route can include tasks that require the assignee's approval or comment or tasks intended only for notification or information.
Approval The route includes only tasks that require the assignee's approval.
Review The route includes only tasks that require the assignee's comment.

Description Additional information about the template that helps users determine if this the template they need.
Revision The current revision level of the route template.
Owner The owner of the route template.

Tile View

If the grid view displays, click Grid View > Tile View . Each tile includes these details:

Detail Description
Template Name The name of the route template. If the owner chose AutoName when creating the template, the name contains a prefix and a number.
Route Base Purpose Determines the kind of tasks routes created from the template can include.

Purpose Description
Standard The route can include tasks that require the assignee's approval or comment, or tasks intended only for notification or information.
Approval The route includes only tasks that require the assignee's approval.
Review The route includes only tasks that require the assignee's comment.

Maturity State The current maturity state of the route.

State Description
Draft The route template is partially defined but not yet available for users.
Released The route template is available to be used to create routes.

Task Assignees The picture or initials of the people assigned tasks in the route.

Filters

You can use to filter the list of route templates. You can choose any combination of these filters.

Filter Description
Owned by me Lists only those route templates that you own
Shared with me Lists only those route template that someone else has shared with you
Draft Lists templates that have been created but are not yet available for users to create routes from
Released Lists route templates available for users to create routes from

Delete Deletes the route template. The template must be In the Inactive state and is not linked to another route template. —

Context Menu

Menu Description
Open Opens the identity card for the route template.
New Route From this template Lets you create a route from this template. This command is shown only when the route template is in the Released state.

Opens the New Route panel with this template selected in the Template field. For more information, see Creating Routes.
Set to Released Only shows if the route template is in the Draft state.

Promotes the route template to the Released state. The template must have at least one task defined.
Set to Draft Only shows if the route template is in the Released state.

Demotes the route template to the draft state.
New Revision Only shows if the route tepmlate is in the Released state.

Creates a new revision of this route template.
Delete Deletes the route template. The template must be In the Inactive state and is not linked to another route template.
