You can list the manufacturer equivalent items for an engineering item. The Context Qualification table displays after selecting a manufacturer equivalent item.

Manufacturer Equivalent Items

The manufacturer equivalent item details are displayed in the Data Grid View.

Note: Changes to the data are reflected after the data has been indexed.

Column Description
Title

The title of the object. You can click the title hyperlink to open the manufacturer equivalent item.
Revision

The revision level of the object.
Manufacturer

The manufacturer of the object.
Maturity

The current maturity state of the object.

You can click the hyperlink to view the lifecycle of the manufacturer equivalent item.

Tip: Right click Open or Remove.
Manufacturer Part Number

The part number for the manufacturer equivalent item.
Equivalent Qualification
Name

The qualification connected to the engineering item. You can click the title hyperlink to open the equivalent qualification.
Maturity

The current maturity state of the object.

You can click the hyperlink to view the lifecycle of the equivalent qualification.
Preferred

The preferred value for the equivalent qualification. Yes, if the equivalent qualification is preferred. No, if the equivalent qualification is not preferred.

Important: If you have access, you can edit the Preferred value.
Approved

The status of the equivalent qualification. Yes, if the qualification is approved. No, if the qualification is not approved.

Important: If you have access, you can view and edit the qualification status. By default, the status is empty. The Qualification Status field must have a value of Yes or No before the qualification can be promoted to the Released state.
Comments

Information or comments related to the qualification. You can double-click in the cell and enter a comment. If you have edit access, the comment is saved.
General Qualification
Name

The name of the general qualification. You can click the hyperlink to open the general qualification.
Maturity

The current maturity state of the object.

You can click the hyperlink to manage the general qualification lifecycle.

Information

You can select the manufacturer equivalent item and click Information to view the details in the right-side panel. For more information, see Manufacturer Equivalent Item Properties.

Page Actions

The toolbar includes these actions for manufacturer equivalent items.

Search Filters the list of manufacturer equivalent items to only those that contain the characters that you enter. Enter at least 3 characters to search within the list. -
Add > Equivalent Qualification > New Manufacturer Equivalent Item Creates an equivalent qualification by creating a manufacturer equivalent item. Add New Manufacturer Equivalent Item
Existing Manufacturer Equivalent Item Creates an equivalent qualification by adding an existing manufacturer equivalent item. Add Existing Manufacturer Equivalent Item
Add > Context Qualification > For Engineering Context Creates context qualifications for an engineering item. Create Context Qualification for Engineering Context
For Project Context Creates context qualifications from a Project Management or Project Planning project. Create Context Qualification for Project Context
For Plant Context Creates context qualifications for a plant. Create Context Qualification for Plant Context
For Product Context Creates context qualifications for a product. Create Context Qualification for Product Context
Remove Removes the selected manufacturer equivalent item.
Warning: Deleting large numbers of objects at one time causes timeout issues.

Context Qualifications

The table is populated when you select a manufacturer equivalent item.

Column Description
Name The name of the engineering item, project, product, or plant.
Context Item The context item for the manufacturer equivalent item.
Context Type The type of context qualification:
  • Engineering Item
  • Project
  • Plant
  • Product
Qualification Maturity State The maturity state of the context qualification. You can click the hyperlink to open and manage the lifecycle of the qualification.
Qualification Comments Any comments related to the qualification. You can double-click in the cell and enter a comment. If you have edit access, the comment is saved.
