Creating Context Qualifications

You can create context qualifications in the context of an engineering item, project, product, and plant.

To create a context qualification, do one of the following:

The new context qualification is created and listed in the Context Qualifications table in My Engineering Items and the Qualifications tab of the manufacturer equivalent item. For more information, see Context Qualifications.

Create Context Qualification for Engineering Context

You can create a context qualification in the context of an engineering item.

  1. Select an equivalent qualification.
  2. From the toolbar, click Add > Context Qualification > For Engineering Context .

    Engineering items in any state display, except Obsolete.

  3. Select an engineering item.
  4. Click OK.

Create Context Qualification for Project Context

You can create a context qualification in the context of a Project Management or Project Planning project.

  1. Select an equivalent qualification.
  2. From the toolbar, click Add > Context Qualification > For Project Context .

    3DSpace and Project Planning projects display for each state, except Completed or Archived.

  3. Select a project.
  4. Click OK.

Create Context Qualification for Plant Context

You can create a context qualification in the context of a plant.

  1. Select an equivalent qualification.
  2. From the toolbar, click Add > Context Qualification > For Plant Context .

    Plants in the Active state display.

  3. Select a plant.

    Tip: You can create a plant from the Collaboration and Approvals app. For more information, see Collaboration & Approvals > People and Organizations > Plants > Creating Plants in the Collaboration and Approvals User's Guide.

  4. Click OK.

Create Context Qualification for Product Context

You can create a context qualification in the context of a product.

  1. Select an equivalent qualification.
  2. From the toolbar, click Add > Context Qualification > For Product Context.

    Products in any state display, except Inactive or Obsolete.

    All available models display in 3DSearch.
  3. Select a product.

    Tip: You can create a model from the top bar of the Collaboration and Approvals app. Click Add > Product Line > Create Model.

  4. Click OK.
