Removing Platform Access

You can easily remove platform access to any of the members of a platform.

Important: Even if you remove a platform access, the user's profile and roles are kept. If the user can access the 3DEXPERIENCE platform through another platform, he will still be able to use the roles not linked to a platform and he will still be able to request a new role as long as such a role is still granted to him. i.e. the roles that are remaining in the Roles tab, if you have selected the Allow granting roles without granting access to any platform check box and Grant Roles Only in the platform list in the preferences of the Members Control Center widget.

If a user pseudonymizes or deletes his account, you receive a notification that suggests you to remove his access from the platform using the Remove access option.

  1. In the Members Control Center widget, click Details in the ID card of the member you want to remove.
The member's details dialog box appears.
  2. In the More options tab.
  3. Click Remove Access.
  4. Click OK to confirm.

The user's access is blocked but the user's profile and roles are kept. The status of the user becomes No Access. If you need to grant platform access again you can either resend a new invitation or just change his rights to grant him access again. If you want to completely remove the member from the platform see Removing Members Through the User Details Dialog Box.

Important: If you grant the same user access to the platform again, he may not retrieve the rights granted by some apps.
