About Roles

Roles allow you to easily access, and manage the roles and linked apps you need to use in your day-to-day work. For example, Mechanical Designer or Simulation Analyst.

The My Roles section of the Compass shows your available roles.

To discover and request roles that you do not have yet, see Requesting a Role.

Get Information About a Role

To know more about a role, click:

  • any role to display the list of apps linked to it.

    Each role may be available on premises or as a public cloud solution. By default, both solutions are selected when browsing a role detail. Click or alternatively to filter the available apps/roles of each solution.

  • on the top-right of the role details section, Information, to display a detailed description of the role.
    Note: This description is available on the cloud only.
  • on the top-left of the role details section, to return to your list of roles.
