A change request (CR) is a request to change an object such as a model, product,
program, project, or part. Any user can submit a CR. You can use a CR and change orders
(CO) to revise and release objects. Once the CR is approved, a CO is created. In both
cases, a change action (CA) implements the changes and the CR/CO are used as governing
objects.
Configured objects remain in the In Work lifecycle state. Therefore, revisions cannot be
released using Enterprise Change Management. Configured object structures must be
managed using applicability. For information on how to manage a configured object, refer
to the documentation for the application that manages the object's types.
Note:
You
can create a change action (CA) and a change asessment under a CA using a Collaborative Industry Innovator license. However, you must have a Change Manager license to create a change assessment for a CR or
to create a CA under a CR by adding proposed changes.
