Child Change Orders

A change order can have one or more child change orders. To view a change order's children, open the change order and select its Change Orders category. Columns described below in bold appear by default. You can customize the table view as required.

Column Description
Name Name of the change order. Click to go to the Properties page.
Parent CO Name of the parent change order.
Status Status of the change order:
  • In Work (not late)
  • In Work (late)
  • Completed (on time)
  • Completed (late)
Owner Person responsible for the change order
State Current state of the change order in its lifecycle
Approval Status The approval status (Awaiting Approval, Approved)
Reported Against Item about which the change was reported
Severity Low, Medium, or High
Due Date Date when the change order should be completed
Type Change order type or subtype
Coordinator Person responsible for the assessment and completion of the change order
Originator Person who created the change order
Description Details about the change order
Organization Business organization where the change was raised
Actual Start Date Date from which changes are in effect
Actual End Date Date when the change order is completed

Actions Menu

The Action menu commands, described below, are available if you have a Configuration Engineer license and you are either a Leader Baseline role or any app-specific role.

Create To create a child CO for a CO in the list, select the listed CO and click Create. If no CO is selected, the new CO is added to the root CO.
Note: A child CO can be created only if the parent is in a state before In Work.
Creating a Change Order
Delete Delete the selected change order(s) from the database. You must remove any associated proposed changes before deleting a CO. -
Transfer Ownership > To Initiator Transfers ownership to the person who created the CO.
  • Only the CO owner can transfer the CO to the initiator.
  • The CO must be in a state before In Work.

  • Only the CO owner can transfer the CO to the change coordinator.
