Eco-Design Assessment

Eco-Design Assessment lets you visualize Eco-design metrics such as CO2 emission, Water use, Impact on human health on any 3DEXPERIENCE engineering items.

No matter the industry, knowing the Eco-design metrics of items is essential. You can define objective values and metric values on these items, and assess them, check their trends and drill down in the structure. This interactive analysis helps you follow your projects and make decisions.

Eco-Design Assessment solutions are built upon the Business Target Definition, Business Value Definition, Business Activities Definition and Eco-Design Assessment apps in the ECO-Design Engineer role, to collect data from the 3DEXPERIENCE and other sources.

Capabilities

Eco-Design Assessment enables engineers to explore a structure under an environmental perspective with the following key capabilities:

  • Study different material alternatives and evaluate the environmental impact.
  • Rely on accurate data to estimate the environmental impact on the relevant metrics, not only on climate change and CO2 emissions.
  • Make sure the proposed green innovations match the company business strategy.

For information on accessing the Eco-Design Assessment app, see Opening an App from the Compass.

This product might use or depict Intellectual Property (IP) protected data. It is the user’s responsibility to safeguard the IP protected data when allowing others to view, export, or print the data. This includes the thumbnail representations of parts or assemblies used in markup screens. Data Volumes

This section provides information on the data you can access in Eco-Design Assessment.

Value Atom: The Value Atom is a concept defined for each Data Science Experience representing the value of the Data Science Experience.

Data Science Tokens (ATK): The number of Value Atoms used in a Data Science Experience consumes Data Science Tokens (DSLS License).

For the Eco-Design Engineer role, a Value Atom is defined as:

  • Engineering items and all their derivative objects
  • Configuration, filter and program milestone
  • Manufacturing items, defined as an entity associated with specific operations in a manufacturing process

One ATK corresponds to 1,500 Eco-Design Value Atoms.
