Creating Communication Matrices

You can create communication matrices used to describe the flow of information circulating on a bus.

  1. In the Communications tab, right-click the Matrices node and select Create Matrix .
  2. Enter these details for the new communication matrix:

    Box Name Description
    Title

    Enter a title.

    Description

    (Optional) Enter a description.
    Protocol Select a protocol. For more information, see About Communication Protocol Standards.

    Additional protocols are suggested if they are created in the Preferences dialog box. For more information, see Creating Protocols.

A communication matrix is created and appears under the Matrices node.

You can now add frames, PDUs, and signals to the communication matrix.
