Allocating a Software Component to an EE Component

You can allocate the following software components: software architecture, atomic software component, application, or partition, to an EE component.

Note: With the Avionics Architect (AVARA) role, you can work with applications, partitions, and configuration tables.

Before you begin: Create a system mapping. For more information, see Creating Communication Matrices.
Right-click the Component Partitionings node, select Allocate Software to EE Component, and:
  1. Select one or more software components.
  2. Select an EE component.
  3. To associate these elements, click when it turns from red to green.

Notes:
  • You can also drag a software component into an EE component.
  • If the selected software components have parent or instances, only one level can be associated with the EE component. The other elements are implicitly associated with the same EE component.
