Searching for Objects

You can search for objects stored in the database by defining search criteria.

  1. Optional: To define an advanced search, enter or modify the default criteria in the Search field:
    Field Name Action
    Type Select the object type.

    (Optional) If the selection is:

    • EE Component or Matrix: select a category.
    • Connector Type: select a technology.
    Title Enter a search string.
    Important: On the cloud, the search must not only contain '*'.
    Owner You can either:
    • Enter the owner identifier.
    • Select Set owner with current logged user.

      Your identifier is displayed in the field.
    Status You can either:
    • Select a status: Locked or Unlocked and enter a user identifier in the By field.
    • Click Locked by current user .

      Your identifier is displayed in the By field and the selected status is Locked.
    Same security context Search only between objects with the same security context.
    Version Enter a version.
    Only the last version Search only between objects of the last version.
    Maturity Enter a maturity.
  2. To execute the search with default or modified criteria, click Launch search .

The results appear in the Results area.
