Generating Frames

You can automatically complete a communication matrix by generating frames. This action is performed from a system mapping or a project.

This scenario describes how to generate frames from a system mapping. Similarly, you can generate frames from a project.

Before you begin:
  • Create a communication matrix with frames, PDUs, and events.
  • Create a system mapping, which allocates a bus with the matrix protocol.
  • In the matrix, create bus signals without defining their transmitter frames. You do not yet know how the bus signals pass through.

  1. Select the system mapping.
  2. From the EE Tools section of the action bar, click Build Frames .

After computation, the unplaced bus signals are organized in frames by optimizing the bus load. Missing frames could be created.
