Creating Frame Allocations from a System Mapping

To define produced and consumed frames for each EE component of a topology, you can create frame allocations in your system mapping.

You can visualize incoming and outgoing frames within a diagram.

Before you begin: Create a bus mapping.

  1. Select a system mapping and expand the Bus Mappings node.
  2. Right-click the Frame Allocations node and select Create Frame Allocations .
  3. Enter these details for the new frame allocation:

    Box Name Description
EE component instance Select an EE component instance.
Port Select a port between the ports of the EE component, which are connected to the bus.
    Direction Select In or Out.
Frames Select one or more frames of the matrix allocated to the bus connected to the selected port.

A frame allocation is created for each selected frame.

The frame allocations appear under the EE component instance node of the Frame Allocations node.

  4. Optional: To access a diagram showing frame allocations, right-click the Views node and select Create Project View in the project tree.
Tags containing incoming and outgoing frames of each EE component instance port appear in the diagram.
