Creating Shared Virtual Links

You can create an emitter, which contains the shared virtual link definition.

1. In the topology, right-click the Shared Virtual Links node and select Add Emitter for Shared Virtual Links .
2. Select a subsystem.

The emitter appears in the Shared Virtual Links node.

You can now create shared virtual links in the Create Shared Virtual Links.

You can create a shared virtual link from an emitter.

1. In the topology, right-click an emitter under the Shared Virtual Links node and select Create Shared Virtual Link .
2. Enter these details for the new virtual link:

   Box Name	Description
   Title	Enter a title.
   Description	(Optional) Enter a description.
   Identifier	Enter a value between 0 and 65535.
   Entry	Select an ECU or a switch. Note: A switch appears in the Entry or Exits area only if it is part of a network.
   Exits	Select at least one ECU or switch.

The shared virtual link appears under the Shared Virtual Links node.

You can modify or visualize shared virtual links in the Virtual Links Table Editor.
