Routing VLANs

You can associate a list of VLANs with a physical segment to define the information it carries.

Note: With the Electrical, Electronics and Software Architect (ELAET) or Electrical and Control Architect (EEWCI) roles, you can work with Ethernet networks for Automotive or Industrial Equipment.

Before you begin:
  • Create VLANs. For more information, see Creating VLANs.
  • Create a physical segment of Ethernet type. For more information, see the note in Creating VLANs.
  1. In the Buses node, select the physical segment and click next to the VLANs area .
  2. In the Select VLANs dialog box, select VLANs and then validate.
    Selected VLANs appear in the VLANs area in the Properties.
