Inserting Subsystems

By inserting an existing subsystem, you can add its content (ECUs, actuators, sensors, or electrical devices) to your network. You can instantiate a subsystem from your session or from the database in a topology or in an EE component.

The scenario describes how to insert a subsystem in a topology. The scenario is identical for ECUs, actuators, sensors, and electrical devices.

Before you begin:

Create a topology. For more information, see Creating Topologies.
Create a subsystem. For more information, see Creating a Subsystem.

Right-click the Subsystems node of the topology and select Insert Subsystems .
Select one or more subsystems.

The subsystem is inserted and appears under the Subsystems node of the topology node.
