About Cable Attributes

When you right-click a cable in the tree, all its attributes are listed in the Electrical tab available in the Properties dialog box.

Important: You cannot edit the properties of a cable that is mapped with a cable reference.

Definition

Basic cable attributes are gathered in the Definition section.

Cable Status

Attributes related to the overall status of a cable and its design and cutting length are gathered in the Cable Status section.

Icons complement values for the following attributes except for the Design Length and Cutting Length:

  • Route Status
  • Validation Status
  • Synchronization Status
Tip: You can hover over an icon to display its meaning in a tooltip.

Status and icons are the same as in the Cable Management Assistant. For more information about these attributes, see Cable Manager Assistant Panel.

Cable Route

Attributes related to each route of a cable are gathered in the Cable Route section.

Next to a route length value, icons are displayed to describe the following attributes:

  • Route status
  • Validation status
  • Sync status

In the Cable Route View section, the following actions are available:

  • Synchronization or unsynchronization of cable routes. For more information, see Command Bar.
  • Modification of the extra length from and the boundary length from
  • Modification of the extra length to and the boundary length to
  • Modification of the length to provide an estimated value

    Important:
    • The route length can be edited only if the cable route is not synchronized.
    • The effects of the following actions are applied automatically on the cable properties, without the need of clicking Ok or Apply: Synchronize, unsynchronize, provide an estimated length.
