About the Copy/Cut-and-paste Capability Management for Cables

Moving your cables and their related objects in your structure can lead to inconsistencies and can require updates. This topic describes the update and repair behavior after using the copy/cut-and-paste capability.

Supported Objects

The copy/cut-and-paste capability and update behavior are available for cables and their related objects.

The supported objects are the following:

  • Cables
  • Cable routes
  • Devices defined as cables extremities
  • Junction devices
  • Parent electrical physical system of cables
  • Parent electrical physical system of dispatched cable routes
  • Electrical branch geometries of routed cable routes
  • Subassemblies

Repair Management

After moving your cables or their related objects, the update and repair operations are automatic. In some cases, repairing your cable structure requires a manual update.

Tree Masks

If a repair is required, the following icons appear on your cables in the tree:

Related objects are not loaded.
Related objects are not loaded, and repair is required.
Repair is required.

Note: An additional mask can appear to indicate that the object is not editable: .

Behavior

If automatic repair is impossible or if content is not loaded, a manual update is required.

Recommendation: If you need to load content, a manual loading is recommended.

If the manual update is not successful, repairs need to be done manually using one of the following commands:
