Selection of Elements
Selection after the Conductor Routing Assistant launching
When the Conductor Routing Assistant is launched, any element, which meets the selection criteria mentioned below, can be selected (whereas when the command is launched, only single selection is allowed).
Conductors related to the selection will be populated into the Conductor Routing Assistant dialog box based on the criteria mentioned below.
Selection prior to the Conductor Routing Assistant launching
You can select multiple elements, that meet the selection criteria mentioned below, prior to the command launching (individual selection or selection of all the elements meeting selection criteria is allowed).
Conductors related to selection will be populated into the dialog box based on the criteria, once you click the command after completing your selections. If none of the selections follows the criteria, then the command will await for further selection before populating the panel with the conductors.
Conductor listing criteria for selected element
You can select individual or multiple elements that will be displayed in the Conductor Routing Assistant according to the following rules:
- Device: All conductors and conductor groups having either end set to the selected device/device cavity will be displayed in the Conductor Routing Assistant.
- Equipment: All conductor and conductor groups having either end set to the selected equipment/cavity on the equipment.
- Electrical Physical System: All conductors and conductor groups within it.
- Conductors: Individual conductors can be selected/multi-selected. Conductors across the electrical physical systems can also be selected.
- Conductor Groups: Individual/multiple conductor groups can be selected. All the child conductors or conductor groups within the selected conductor group(s) will be displayed.
- Electrical Geometry: All the conductors of the electrical physical system linked to this electrical geometry. If the electrical geometry is not linked to any electrical physical system, all the conductors which are linked to any device/equipment aggregated under this electrical geometry will be populated.
- Electrical Branch Geometry: All the routed conductors passing through all the segments within the selected electrical branch geometry will be displayed.
- Branch: the routed conductors passing through all the segments of the branch will be displayed.
- Segments: All the routed conductors passing through the selected segment will be displayed.
- Non-Electrical Product: All conductors aggregated at any child level underneath the selected non-electrical product will be populated (conductors and conductor groups from all electrical physical systems aggregated under the selected non-electrical product).
