Managing the Display in the Conductor Routing Assistant

You can manage the display of information within the Conductor Routing Assistant.

Use Filters

You can use filters in each column to narrow down the list of conductors, hide or show conductors and conductor groups. Thus, you can manage only a certain kind of conductors.

  1. Click a column filter .
    The list of the values contained in the column appears and all the values are selected by default.
  2. Edit filters on each column either using the check boxes or typing in the edition boxes.

    The filter icon changes when a filter is applied for this column:.

    For example you can decide to display only the list of the conductors whose status is Broken.

    To remove a filter on a particular column, you can select all the check boxes and click Reset all in a filter box.

    You can combine the filtering and sorting commands in the column header, in which the filter symbol varies according to the following criteria:

    • : no filter in the column, all the conductors and conductor groups are visible in the table.
      • : sorting is done alphabetically in an ascending order, without filter.
      • : sorting is done alphabetically in a descending order, without filter.
    • : filter activated in the column. The filter, if applied or changed, also retains the sorting order.
      • : sorting is done alphabetically in an ascending order, with filter.
      • : sorting is done alphabetically in a descending order, with filter.

  3. Click anywhere outside the filter box to close it and apply the filter.

Use Visual Feedback for the Filling Ratio of Segments

You can visualize the filling ratio of a segment in the 3D area. The Conductor Routing Assistant allows a dynamic update of visualization, helping you optimizing the path and the segments' loading.

  1. Click Activate/Deactivate Visualization .
    The command icon changes into and add color ranges for a color-coded visualization of the segments' filling ratio.

    In the 3D area, everything but the branches is grayed out with transparency. Segments get colored based on their filling ratio value and color ranges defined in the panel.

    Tip: You can change the range for filling ratio feedback and the color associated to each range in the Conductor Routing Assistant.
  2. To manage the color range:
    1. Add a new color range by dragging and dropping the icon onto the color range bar anywhere you want to create new color range (see the first image below).
    2. Remove the color range by selecting the slider, and then drag it outside the panel.
      The slider is removed and color ranges that were above and below it merge (see the second image below).


  3. Change the color by manipulating the color range.
    You can specify color ranges corresponding to different filling ratios in segments. If you click a color area, you can choose customized colors from the color palette.

    You can visualize the filling ratio of a segment in the 3D area:





Hide or Show the List of Conductors

You can hide the left frame of the spreadsheet view and show only the right frame of the panel with the visual feedback for segment filling ratio (see next section).

  1. Click the Hide/Show arrow on the left side of the Conductor Routing Assistant panel.
    You can see only the color-coded visualization of the segments' filling ratio.

  2. To show the frame of the conductors' list, click the arrow again.
    You can see the whole panel.

Manage the Display of Columns

You can manage the visibility and the order of the columns.

  1. In the Conductor Routing Assistant panel, right-click a column header.
    A list of all the columns appears in a column chooser panel.

  2. To hide or show a column, clear or select a column name.
  3. To change the order of columns, drag a column name to modify its position in the list.
  4. Click outside the column chooser panel to validate your changes.
