Validating Cable Routes

After routing your cables, you can define a validation status on the cable routes. Validating a route allows to store some attributes in the Cable Route object.

Attributes that can be stored are:

  • The route status of the cable
  • The length of the cable
  • The visual representation of the cable route

This scenario describes the validation commands that are available from the Routing Assistant panel. The information is the same for validation commands available in the action bar.

Important: You cannot revalidate an already validated route using the Validate command. To be able to revalidate a route, select the Enable revalidation of impacted routes option available in the Routing Assistant preferences.
