When a branch point is created on a multiprofile branch whose elements that precede and follow the junction have the same profiles, only one local profile is created and it is shared by both segment extremities.

When a branch point is created on a multiprofile branch whose elements that precede and follow the junction have different profiles, two local profiles are created: one on each segment extremity. The local profiles set on the segment extremities inherit the same parameters (reference axis, angle, and dimensions) as the profiles set on the elements that are positioned before and after the junction.
