Routing Branches with Proxy Branch Points

You can use a proxy branch point to route a secondary branch to or from a primary branch. The primary and secondary branches are electrically linked without modifying the primary branch.

Note: It is possible to add proxy branch points to connect branches belonging to the same electrical branch geometry.

Edit a Proxy Branch Point
  1. From the Branch section of the action bar, click Classic Branch Definition .
  2. In the Branch Definition dialog box, click Route Definition.
  3. In the work area, select a device cavity.


  4. To position the proxy branch point:
    1. Press Shift and hover over an existing branch.


    2. Click the branch curve.
      The proxy branch point is created and a new branch is routed between the selected cavity and the proxy branch point.

  5. Click OK in the Route Definition dialog box.
    The two branches are connected.
