Arranging Segments in a Support

You can modify the design of a branch routed in a support.

This task shows you how to:

Before you begin:
  • Activate an electrical branch geometry, and then select a branch in the work area.
  • From the Branch section of the action bar, click Immersive Branch Definition .

    The Auto Routing Mode is activated and yellow bullets appear on route elements.

Reverse Segments

You can edit the direction of a segment routed through a support.

  1. In the 3D area, click the yellow bullet representing a support section.
    The Manual Routing Mode is activated and a new context toolbar appears.

  2. Hover over Manual Routing Mode , and click Edition Mode .
    A new context toolbar appears.

  3. Click Reverse support .
    The direction of the segment is updated accordingly.

  4. To cancel your manipulations, press Escape or close the Branch Properties panel.
  5. To validate your manipulations, click in the 3D area or press Enter.

Arrange Segments

You can modify the arrangement of the segments routed in a support.

  1. In the 3D area, click the yellow bullet representing a support section.
    The Manual Routing Mode is activated and a new context toolbar appears.

  2. Hover over Manual Routing Mode , and click Edition Mode .
    A new context toolbar appears.

  3. Click Arrange Segment in Support .
    The Arrange Segments dialog box appears. In the Segments Passing Through Reference Support area, only the branch you are editing is listed.
  4. Optional: To adjust the position of all the branches at the same time:
    1. Exit the command. Then double-click the product to switch to Electrical 3D Design.
    2. From the Branch section of the action bar, click Arrange Segments and select the support in the work area. All the editable branches are listed in the Segments passing through Reference Support area.
    In the 3D area, the view point is modified and you can arrange the segments more easily.

  5. Move the segment to the desired location inside the support.

  6. To validate, click the 3D area or press Enter.
