About ELOG Model Import/Export in Electrical Systems Design

An ELOG file represents a logical reference (system) in Electrical Systems Design. The file name is the reference name of the system. During the import process, if the system does not exist, a new one is created.

If the position (of components, ports) and dimensions (of components) are defined in the XML file, they will be taken into account during the import process. Conductors' position is computed according to the components' and ports' position.

The position (of components and ports) and dimensions (of components) are generated in the XML file during the export process.

Important:
  • Before launching the Import command, you have to insure that your ELOG files are valid to the ELOG schema.
  • Sub-systems do not exist in ELOG file and objects are always aggregated under a root node.
  • The XML identifier "id" must be valuated but "@", "&" and blank character are forbidden characters. The first letter of the name should not have a numerical value, i.e. "ID_1" is accepted but "1_ID" is not.
