Advanced Section

The primary area of the Advanced section provides commands for selecting all instances depending on their associated effectivity and managing editability and the connections between objects.

Create Implement Relation
Defines traceability between two objects.
To link them with a new implement relation, select two objects from any node in the tree (Requirement, Functional, Logical or Physical). Note that you must first link their root nodes to define the context.
See Creating Implement Relations.

Modify Implement Relation
Modifies an implement relation.
Select an object to edit its implementing and implemented relations in the Edit Related Objects dialog box.
See Editing Implement Relations.

Traceability Matrix
Displays the implement relations between two structures.
Select two structures in the Traceability Matrix Selection dialog box, then create, edit or delete their implement relations in the Traceability Matrix editor.
See Managing Implement Relations with the Traceability Matrix.
Select Instances with Same Effectivity
Selects all the instances that have exactly the same effectivity expression.
For more information, see Configured Engineering > Analyzing a Configured Structure > Analyze Effectivity.
Dynamic Selection of Instances
Selects all the instances that exactly or partially match your criteria.
For more information, see Configured Engineering > Analyzing a Configured Structure > Analyze Effectivity.
Select Instances with Different Effectivity
Selects all the instances in a product structure that have different effectivity expression.
For more information, see Configured Engineering > Analyzing a Configured Structure > Analyze Effectivity.

Tree Reordering
Reorders the tree.
Select an object with two or more children of the same type, then use the Manual reordering mode or the Automatic reordering by criterion mode to reorder the instances
See Reordering the Tree.

RFLP Linked Objects
Displays all the relations of an object.
See Showing RFLP Linked Objects.

Replace by Existing Component
Replaces the selected component by another component.
You can replace a reference by another existing reference. This command cannot be performed on representations.
See Replacing by an Existing Reference.

Replace by Existing Revision
Replaces the revision of the selected component.
Select an object to replace its current revision by an existing revision.
See Replacing by an Existing Revision.

Replace by New Major Revision
Replaces the selected component by a new major revision.
See Replacing by a New Major Revision.
Open 2D Graph in New Tab
Displays the 2D graph in a new tab.
See Displaying Multiple Views.
Logical Assistant
Specifies a predefined part number on your logical objects
The predefined part number that is assigned to on the logical object indicates what physical reference the physical object is based on.
See Assigning a Predefined Part Number to Logical Objects.
