Creating Terminals

You can create terminals and insert them under a terminal block.

This structure is displayed in the tree, under the Extensions > Port node.


Before you begin:
  • Create a logical reference (System) under the Logical node.
  • Create an equipment (Equipment01) under the logical reference. For more information, see Creating an Equipment Reference.
  • Create a terminal block (TB1) under the equipment.
  1. From the Edition section of the action bar, click Create Terminals .
    The Create Terminals dialog box appears.
  2. In the tree, select the terminal block (TB1).

  3. In the Create Terminals dialog box.
    1. Type the number of terminals to be inserted.
    2. Optional: Type a prefix for the terminals' names.
    3. Type the name of the first terminal.

      Note: If there is more than one terminal, their names follow the alphabetical/numerical order according to the name of the first terminal.

    4. Optional: Type a suffix for the terminals' names.
    5. Click Add.
      The terminals appear in the Terminals To Be Created area.
      Note: To remove terminals, select them in the Terminals To Be Created area and click Remove.
  4. Click OK to create the terminals and close the Create Terminals dialog box.

The Extensions node displays this new hierarchy.
