Adding Content under a Relay

You can add content under a relay reference.

Using this function, you can take advantage from the Library Browser to quickly search and instantiate general components classified in general libraries and classes.

Before you begin:
  1. From the Edition section of the action bar, click Manage Relay Content .

Note: This command is also accessible from the context menu.

The dialog box to add content to the relay appears.
  2. Select the relay.
  3. In the Type area, select the type of content to be created:
    • Logical Relay Contact
    • Logical Operating Device
  4. Select the symbol of the element to be created.

Note: You can also select a content:
    • From the catalog or the library editor.
    • By entering the name of content in the Content Reference Name.

The name of the symbol appears in the Content Reference Name box.
  5. Click Add.
In the Content To Be Created area, the selected reference appears. The Logical Contact Instance Order attribute beside the reference name is computed and can be modified (integer value).
  6. Repeat Steps 4 and 5 to create as many contacts or operating devices as needed.
In the tree, the content with its symbol representation is created under the relay reference.

For each component port of each contact or operating device, pins are created under the relay. The default naming convention is Logical Contact Instance Order + Logical Component Port Name.

  7. To change the order attribute of the contact:
    1. Repeat Steps 1 and 2.
    2. In the Existing Content section, change the order attribute of the contacts.
