Applying Set to Production

When a development release phase part is In Work or later, it can be moved to the production release process.

Required Access Roles:

  • Baseline: Leader, Author
  • App-specific: Design Engineer, Senior Design Engineer

Before you begin:

Access the Properties page of a development part in the In Work state or later. For details, see Part Properties. If you apply Set to Production on a part that is in the In Work state, the Back button becomes disabled.

You cannot perform Set To Production on a part that is in Approved state or on a BOM that contains one or more parts in Approved state.

  1. Click Set to Production from the page toolbar.

    If the part is in the Frozen state or later, you are required to attach a new or existing change object.

  2. Attach a new or existing change object as required.
    If the part is released, you can select Revise Part when you create the markup. A CA will be created with requested change as "For Release". The CA will be attached to the newly revised part.
