Exchange Management helps you import and export content to and from the 3DEXPERIENCE in
various formats. You can also manage the site ownership of objects to specify which site can
edit objects, and repair conflicts.
Export content to any format (3D XML, CATIA,
CATIA Composer, IGES, STEP, and SOLIDWORKS files).
Import 3D XML, STEP, and IGES files.
See the origin of the components in the
database.
Use all Coexistence and Migration tools.
Depending on your granted roles, it may be required to select the Optional
Installation - Exchange Management optional component during the
installation.
Manage conflicts by repairing the site ownership. You can select the local data or the
incoming data while importing as Ref. This conflict also appears when you perform repair
site ownership and import the same 3D XML data.
Consider two sites S1 (OEM) and S2
(Supplier). In the first step, you can export product structure using the Delegate
operation at S2. At the S2 site, the product structure is imported as a reference.
In the next step, you can revoke the delegation at S1 and export. When you
import this 3D XML as reference at S2, a conflict message appears.
Case
Description
Export of 3D XML files
At export time, when exporting for the first time same
objects in two different processes. This is due to the internal objects
managed by the system created for ensuring the proper data exchange.
Import of 3D XML files
At import time, when importing several 3D XML with
authoring files which contains same objects.
Depending on the progress of
the two processes in concurrence, the error message can differ (name,
identifier, or revision conflict).
