Working with Immersive Site Ownership

You can manage the site ownership of data using the Detach and Revoke commands.

When you launch the Site Information command from a navigation or an authoring editor, then the available operations (Detach, Cancel Detach, Revoke, Cancel Revoke, Waive or Cancel Waive) are displayed in a PLM label. This label is displayed for each PLM entity whenever an entity is selected. Using this label, you can set the entities that you want to revoke or delegate. With Site Information, what is displayed in the tree is the status of the instance, whereas in the turn table, it is the status of the pointing reference.

If you launch the command from the search results window, then the operations are displayed in an immersive panel.

To perform an operation, you should select at least one entity. If one entity is selected in the search results window, then the available operations of this entity are displayed. If you select multiple entities, then all the common operations between all the selected entities are displayed with an Enabled status. All the other operations that are not applicable to the selected entities appear with a Disabled status. You cannot use the Site Information command on the Advanced Search results.

Notes:
  • The Site Information command is touch compliant in Windows 8.
  • When the Site Management command is launched from the search, only the selected object is taken as input for the command. When it is launched from another workbench, all visible objects are taken as input for the command. Therefore, there can be different behaviors depending on where you launched the command from.
