Manage Site Ownership
You can manage the data ownership in Exchange Management.
Required baseline access roles: Author, Leader.
- From the Compass, click Exchange Management.

From the action bar, select 3D XML > Display Site Information
.
Color shading is applied to each product instance in the product structure and to each product reference in the 3D geometry to indicate the site ownership status.
The following table lists the status of the site ownership related information available in the B.I. Essentials with reference to the color and the legend:
Color Legend Editable Available Commands Information Blue DELEGATED Yes Waive This status enables you to edit the entity in the repository. When you Import As Reference a 3D XML file containing data sent with delegation, the Delegated status is available. Green LOCAL Yes - This status enables you to edit the entity in the repository. When you create the data in the current repository, the Local status is available. Pink EXCHANGED - This status enables you to identify the local objects that are either published through a channel or exported to a 3D XML file. Yellow DELEGATOR No Revoke This status does not enable you to edit the entity in the repository. However, the repository has the rights to revoke the delegation. When you export some entities with delegation, the Delegator status is available. Orange FORWARD No Revoke This status does not enable you to edit the entity in the repository, but the repository has the rights to revoke the delegation. When you export the entity having delegation that has been previously imported (with delegation), the Forward status is available. Red DISTANT No Detach This status does not enable you to edit the entity in the repository. When you import a 3D XML file containing entities that have not been sent with a delegation, the Distant status is available. White DETACHED No - This status enables you to remove the entity from the repository. When you perform the Detach operation from a label on an entity that was in a Distant state, the Detached status is available temporarily till OK is applied. Light Green Blue WAIVED No - You cannot edit a PLM entity with this status in the repository. This is an intermediate status. This status is obtained when the Waive operation PLM label is clicked for the entity with the Delegated status. Dark Olive REVOKED No - You cannot edit a PLM entity with this status in the repository. This is an intermediate status. This status is obtained when the Revoke operation PLM label is clicked for the entity with the Forward or Delegator status. -
In the tree or in 3D, select one of the product.
The label shows detailed information about the name of the reference and the instance, the site ownership status along with the command icons for both reference and instance. The site ownership status command icons are unavailable if the status is Local.
- Select the entity whose site ownership you want to change and click on the Revoke operation in the label.The site ownership status changes locally. The color of the entity in the tree changes.
- Click OK to save all the site ownership changes in the database.The following changes are observed in the site ownership status:

To modify the propagation selection for the Revoke operation, select the Propagate operation to all Children check box.
The Revoke operation is executed on all the aggregated children of the selected product.
If the Revoke operation is performed, the specification tree and the 3D geometry are automatically colored with the modified site ownership status.
- You can execute the following actions:
- OK: Launches the Revoke, Waive, and Detach operations on the selected entities. Also closes the command.
- Reset: Resets all the different status on the entities to their respective initials status.
- Cancel: Cancels the current set of operations and closes the command.
