Administration: Repairing the Site Ownership of Objects

You can repair the site ownership of an object that is being exchanged by forcing it to the Local or Distant status.

The Display Site Information command of the Exchange Management app enables you to entirely recover a coherent site ownership situation between the exchanging repositories after accidental scenarios using global repair methodology. You can go back to the original status of the object at any time.

You can also do this using the Repair Site Ownership Tool of the batch utility. For more information, see Social and Collaborative: Global Design Management: Collocation Data Exchange: Understanding Data Exchange: Working with Repair Site Ownership. When the Repair Site Ownership command is launched from the batch, only the selected object is taken as input for the command. When it is launched from another workbench, all visible objects are taken as input for the command. Therefore, there can be different behaviors depending on where you launched the command from.

Required access role: Administrator.

Note: You must have the VIC - Collocation Data Exchange license to repair the site ownership of objects.
